Rita & Kat
Borne of a need for a centralized hub for learning and sharing craft skills, The Lunenburg Makery opened in a seaside town of the same name in Nova Scotia, Canada and grew to encompass sewing facilities, a library, studios and more. Rita Van Tassel and Kat Frick Miller, the Makers behind TLM’s DIY craft projects, joined the Makery with the aim to teach tools that would help introduce people all ages to handcrafting. As a lifelong crafter with her own textile accessory line and artist/freelance illustrator respectively, Rita and Kat joined forces through their shared love of art and education.
