Before Michelle started her jewelry line, she received a comprehensive education in many different art forms. She studied fine art and interior design at Cornell, architecture at the University of Copenhagen, and illustration at San Francisco Academy of Art. Michelle’s work as an interior designer and freelance illustrator definitely informs her design aesthetic and process. Jewelry making involves all the elements Michelle loves from her other artistic endeavors: sketching, designing, sculpting and crafting. But what sets accessory fabrication apart is ending up with that wearable treasure after all those intricate steps — it’s a tactile, tangible result of her creative expression, and nothing make Michelle feel more satisfied.
