After ten years working to preserve and protect pieces of fine art as a conservationist, last year Pamela decided it was time to become a maker of things once again and create her own fine (wearable) art. With a degree in sculpture and architectural history (she started out in architecture school but her designs were deemed to "eccentric." Pamela has honed her personal artistic aesthetic over the years, minimalist and colorful. Drawing inspiration from a dramatic landscape or historical art tradition, Pamela chooses her piece of reclaimed wood, saws it, drills it, sands it, paints it, seals it and strings it, all with her own two hands inside her small L.A. studio/workshop.
