Jessica Lee loves color. First and foremost, it’s color that directs her hand-dyed silk collection. Next comes texture. The relationship between the two happens organically and oftentimes Jessica doesn’t know what she’s going to end with until it’s done. Not that this Willow Knows’ Maker is flying blind; not only does she have an intuitive sense for color combinations but she also has a BFA in fashion and textile design (along with experience as a film costume designer) to back it up. Her sources for inspiration are as varied and as colorful as her hand-dyed silk scarves: her talented filmmaker boyfriend, other female artists who make a living with their art, and even joyful strangers on the street.
