What is your design background?

I’m self-taught. I took a couple of design classes in college and was familiar with design software but there was definitely a learning curve at the beginning. I have spent a lot of time doing internet searches, utilizing tutorials and taking classes to gain more knowledge and build my skills. I feel like I will always be learning and I love that about design. There is always something new to discover.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Fashion Designer Why? I LOVED fashion and still do. I would pour through fashion magazines my mom had in the house or that I bought on my own and would soak up the pages. I was so interested in the details of the design, the designers and loved sketching out my own designs. I’m not the best at sewing and over time I transferred my love for fashion and design to stationery.

Why is making handmade goods important to you?

It’s personal and it comes from the heart. It’s also one of a kind because with each design whether it is hand crafted, sourced or printed there are variations to that piece that make it unique and authentic.

“I aim to create products that inspire and spread joy. ”
