"No matter what, everything will be OK."
“I usually start with a collage in my sketchbook. I find a theme I like and run with it.”

“Through my blog, I met some great people and started taking print and branding projects again.”

“I can't tell you how many times I've re watched Six Feet Under this year. Its a problem.”

Molly Covert’s always been looking for ways to communicate — a star on the debate team in high school, she went on to earn a degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of California, San Francisco. But when the corporate jobs she found didn’t exactly feed her soul, she went in search of a new design direction for her career.

Who inspires you to do the work that you do?
My dad was an illustrator and worked in graphic design when I was younger. Even today I contract illustrations out to him for clients. I always think if he likes the work I do then I'm probably doing something right.

What are people usually surprised to learn about you?
That I'm pretty nerdy. You could say I was a Star Wars fanatic (the original trilogy, obviously). I was on the debate team, science club, philosophy club and the geology club in high school. I did earn a letter jacket in high school...but it was for debate. Yup, I was real popular.

What one thing do you every day without fail?
Write. I write every day. I have five pen pals that I keep in touch with. I also write stories on my blog but I just went through a huge rebranding, so that is still in transition.

“I rip out things from magazines or old photos that I've collected from estate sales and make a few compositions.”
