Modern Moose founder Paul Ocepek has designed everything from TVs and toys to telephones and trash cans. He was trained as an industrial designer and has worked as a product developer for the last 25 years. Motivated by a love for producing unique, well-crafted, and locally made goods--plus the mid-life crisis need to buy a really cool laser cutting machine--Paul launched his own 3D art line in 2010, Art Thingys. In 2012, Art Thingys expanded to become Modern Moose. The new name was inspired by Paul’s first piece of 3D wall art, a modern moose design known affectionately as Snoutrageous.
Today, Paul crafts wall art, clocks, corkboards, and more in his Massachusetts—also known as Moosachusetts—studio! His sense of humor, bold use of color and modern artistic sensibility shine through in each of his endearing clocks. As he puts it, “It’s fun stuff for your cabin, castle or crib. Sure to put a smile on your face and eyes on your walls.”
