After studying interior design, Amanda Parker spent five years practicing high-end residential design. However, she always knew there was something missing: I enjoyed the entire design lifestyle too much! This propelled her to return to school for Crafts and Design, with a specialization in glass.

She now creates delicate, whimsical pieces inspired by her West Coast surroundings. Her collection reflects natures tiny details, while Amanda always pushes herself to try new things, living by the words of a former teacher If youre not sure about an idea, just try it. Now theres some advice worth holding onto.

What's your favorite item in your collection?
I would have to say my knot necklace. It was one of my first designs and seems to appeal to a wide range of people. It is also really fun to make!

Why is making handmade goods important to you?
I take great joy in the Maker role especially when I get to meet the individuals purchasing my work. I think if you are going to make something it should be timeless, meaningful and beautiful.

What 3 things make you happiest in the world?
Hiking in the forest, cooking a delicious meal, and taking chances.

Who inspires you to do the work that you do?
My husband is a constant inspiration and is always pushing me to take risks with my work and follow my dreams wherever they lead

“Moving to the West Coast was also a massive source of inspiration as nature is anywhere and everywhere in such powerful forms!”
