Meghna's career didn't begin with a sewing machine and hand-printed fabrics, it began with verb conjugations and global economic theory. After studying Spanish and economics, she worked as a corporate consultant, until one day she decided it was time to see the world. Meghna left her job, bought a backpack and took off around Asia for a year. Now, when she made her way to India, Meghna had expected to find adventure and do a little self discovery along the way but she really hadn't counted on falling in love with the traditional hand block-printed textiles she saw everywhere she went. When she returned home the sewing began and so did her new career with Maelu Design.
