Meet The Face Behind

A BRIKA maker story

Cindy Liebel

"I believe that singing out loud is good for the soul. "
“My inspiration comes from different aspects of life - textures, sounds, nature, architectural design and my daughter.”

“I love it when an idea comes together, making the process of creating that much easier.”

“I begin with pen and paper, sketching ideas and bring some of them to life using various techniques of hand forging, soldering, hammer, texturing and piecing it all together.”

“I love it when an idea comes together, making the process of creating that much easier.”

Cindy Liebel is a metalsmith with a passion for documenting daily life through the lens and the process of manipulating metal via hammer, torch and love. Her nature-inspired line is handcrafted using eco-friendly sterling silver and gold. We especially love her Bohemian Feather Earrings!

"There is nothing more exciting than manipulating metal into something so intriguing and delicately simple with my own two hands. My goal is to offer women a beautifully handcrafted piece of jewelry to be worn out of pure enjoyment.” -CML

What’s your guiltiest pleasure?

While my hubby and kids are at work and school, I will occasionally pick a day out of the month and relax on the couch and indulge in a big bowl of buttery popcorn, catching up on my favorite TV shows.

Name 3 books that inspire you.

Currently, 1) The Girl on the Train, 2) The Backyard Blacksmith and 3) The Book of Awakening

Who is one of your favorite makers why?

I’m a big fan of Jo Diquez. I love how she uses geometric shapes in her work, there are so bold and direct.

“BRIKA's atmosphere explodes with happiness and curiosity, which makes me want get to know the artist behind every product available.”
