"Patience is a central emotion in my life, and in my creating. It is what I love most about nature. A flower, a new leaf, a tree: they all take their time growing. And in doing so, they create the most intricate patterns, which is the biggest inspiration for my work."

"I have been enamored with nature since I can remember. I am forever in love with the colors, textures and patterns found in the smallest flower or tallest tree."

"The first thing I think about when I wake up is “What’s the weather going to be like today? Can I create outside?”"

"I have been enamored with nature since I can remember. I am forever in love with the colors, textures and patterns found in the smallest flower or tallest tree."

Physically based in the Midwest but with her heart planted firmly in nature’s mountains and beaches, Andria Green is a textile and watercolor artist and the mastermind behind her brilliant, vibrant-hued designs. Citing nature as the force behind her creative drive, Andria’s best memories growing up were the ones spent with her family on the deserted beaches of northwestern Washington, sand-filled deserts of New Mexico, and the lush forests of northern Wisconsin.

After having taken her first leap towards creating her own business using watercolors and block carving materials for the first time since college, Andria said it has been a whirlwind of inspiration and making since. In order to recreate the feeling of warmth and beauty in the flowers and sunsets that inspire her, Andria mixes her own colors and dyes. “I love it when I see my finished product, after all of the inspiration and creating, and can remember exactly how it felt when I first became inspired to make it,” she said. “My goal in making is to pass that memory along.”

My ideal day…

Would begin with a walk on a beach or hike through a forest, but since those are not always available to me where I live, I try to find nature wherever I can. I go to a conservatory, walk through a park, or look at the plants I have surrounded myself with in my home.

3 things that make me happiest:

Any time spent with my family, being outdoors, and a good breakfast.

Words I live by:

Always look closer. There is so much beauty in the tiniest details.

"The inspiration I gather from being in nature tends to always stay with me throughout my process."
