I've been married for almost ten (!) years, and while I don't remember who bought me our tenth place setting, or set of guest towels, I do remember fondly all the special, unique gifts I received from close friends.
- Our dear friends Angela and Brian arranged to have a dinner at the home of a mutual friend who is also a talented artist. After a lovely dinner, we browsed through the artwork on our walls and chose our favorite. That painting is still on our dining room wall today.
- An old family friend from Halifax, NS (where I grew up) sent us a hand-carved cheese board along with a cheese knife carved with our names on it.
- My husbands cousins gave us beautiful hand-painted plates that still feel so special when we use them.
These thoughtful, unique gifts are a part of our story and we cherish them because they were gifted to us by close friends. Now that wedding season has started, consider giving gifts that your friends or family will cherish for a long time. As I shop for the many weddings on the calendar this spring, I'm excited to give memorable, hand-crafted gifts like these.Have you joined BRIKA yet?
