“My mom is an artist and I wanted to be like her, be able to do things my own way.” - Mimi Cha
Every great product begins with a great idea. When Mimi Cha gets hers, she puts pencil to scrap paper. Gathering up all her new design ideas, she then narrows them down to her favorites and transfers her sketches over to Illustrator to add color.
Fabric test samples are printed and, if they reflect her original idea, Mimi stitches, stuffs and ships her latest batch of friendly (and eco-friendly) pillows to excited customers...and their couches.
With an AAS in Illustration and a BFA in Toy Design from F.I.T., this mom of two keeps her business on track with weekly to-do lists that focus on the small details, breaking down each day into doable tasks...and great ideas.
People are usually surprised that I’m a stay-at-home mom and run my own business. - Mimi Cha
