We spoke to our NY-based Makers to find out which restaurants (and bars and bakeries!) they love most. Get our insider’s guide before you book your next ticket to JFK! Oh, and we couldn't help but share a few of our personal favorites too.
1. ORO BAKERY AND BAR “Everything is either baked fresh or brought in from selected local companies such as Sullivan St. Bakery and Ce-Ci Cela. It's like a one stop shop for all your downtown favorites, all under one roof.” —Sonia Tay, Snoozer Loser
3. ALLSWELL "Our neighborhood bursts with ridiculously amazing food. Allswell is a favorite because their super fresh menu changes daily based on what comes in fresh from all their local sources. Paulie Gee's has delicious neapolitan pizza with unexpected toppings like hot honey. Also love Post Office for their bourbon-centric cocktails. So hard to stop here, I could write a 10-page essay on this subject." —Irene Wood, History+Industry
4. FRANNY’S This one’s recommended by four of our Makers! It's known for its "addictive pizza and appetizers" not to mention "amazing cocktails and wine list." It was even named one of the 12 best places in NYC for wine by The New York Times. We're sold. —Karen Young, Hammocks & High Tea —Jennifer, Nina & Signe, Mondays
