Our Q&A with Jasmine Porter of Pamuk & Co.

Jasmine Porter's father was Turkish and came to North America on an academic scholarship as young man. When she travelled to Turkey to meet her cousins they introduced her to ancient weaved and loomed cotton products, like the classic turkish towel. She was so intrigued by the fact that such an ancient craft provided such modern form and function that she launched Pamuk & Co.

Pamuk & Co towels are crafted from the highest quality Turkish cotton and using an ancient hand-loomed method that was reserved for royalty. Practical, beautiful, but most of all versatile, the Pamuk towel goes easily from beach towel to bath towel, throw blanket to shawl, baby wrap to yoga mat.

We sent one of our favorite photographers, Kayla Chobotiuk out to interview Jasmine in her Toronto studio.
