We were an unlikely team – Jen’s patient Mom in the front seat, chauffeuring us from store to store, myself in the front seat, literally about to hurl from car sickness (I cannot even look at my phone for a few seconds in a car, let alone a complicated maze of a map of Brooklyn for hours!) and Jen in the back with baby Annabelle, trying to keep her from crying the ENTIRE time. We hit dead-ends, got lost on one-way streets and tracked down tucked-away shops only to find them (sigh) closed. Finally, we landed on 5th Ave in Park Slope and hit the jackpot with a stretch of awesome boutiques. After a much needed coffee break at Swedish coffee shop, Konditori, we wandered into a lovely little store where Jen bought a fabulous cotton canvas tote and I found a cute pair of earrings brass and neon pink from a Brooklyn designer. It shouldn't be so difficult to find beautiful, amazing and unique products to buy for yourself or as a gift. And we felt even more excited about what we are creating with BRIKA. At BRIKA, new, well-crafted collections by talented makers will be featured every day. In your inbox and only a few clicks away. We can't wait to share more about BRIKA with you!
