Looking for a daily dose of inspiration in the form of expertly composed and curated Instagram feeds? Look no further – we’ve rounded up a few of our most recent favorites below. 1) Rupi Kaur, @rupikaur_ Although also a visual artist, the utter force of Rupi's talent as a poetess is both arresting and immediately felt. Writing poetry on themes like love, loss and femininity, Rupi is truly a word magician who compels the reader to think about the weight of each word she pens to paper. Her Instagram features her drawings and poetry from her anthology of poems, Milk and Honey. 2) Victor Cheng, @veeceecheng Victor's expertly captured photos are an exercise in cityscapes, white space and composition. Dividing his time between Shanghai and Toronto, the shots of the highly compact and stacked apartment dwellings in the former city, especially, are jaw dropping. 3) Kima Kimberlin, @kimakimberlin If you're in no position to get thyself to a rustic cabin in a wooded part of the world (and stat), Kima's photography will surely offer at least a temporary antidote. Quietly elegant and largely in a muted palette of natural color, Kima's pictures are almost enough to make you forget that you're scrolling through her account on your morning commute (almost). 4) Arden Wray, @ardenwray It's easy to lose yourself in Arden's richly colored, gorgeous portrait photography that features subjects in a variety of spaces and landscapes. Just don't blame us if you finding yourself booking the next plane ticket to the Midwest! 5) Jean Jullien, @jean_jullien Even if you've never heard of him, you've likely seen Jean Jullien's work; he is the artist behind the widely shared - and felt - "peace for Paris" illustration, drawn after the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris. Drawing in a definitively French style, Jean draws on the larger consciousness to illustrate (literally) and poke fun at the "isms" of life's daily nuances. 6) Fernanda de la Puente, @ferchidelapuente If you look up "aspirational,” we wouldn't be surprised if you found Fernanda's picture in the dictionary. A chef and nutritionist, Fernanda's health and wellness-focused snaps beautifully document her life between her home base of Brooklyn and home country of Peru. 7) Shantell Martin, @shantell_martin Even more impressive than her bold, black-and-white graphic illustrations is the fact that Shantell is an adjunct professor at NYU and visiting scholar at the MIT Media Lab. That’s not to say her Instagram isn’t worth checking out: her funky, hand drawn aesthetic reminds us of our favorite forgotten t-shirts from the ‘80s. 8) Amanda Jane Jones, @amandajanejones The nuclear family never looked so good as in graphic designer Amanda’s shots of her two adorable kids and husband. Either she has the patience of a saint, her kids have become expert subjects, or a combination of both – either way, her snapshots are sure to put a smile on your face.
