Where do you go for inspiration?

I love the smell and feeling in the desert, the quiet and slowness of it. Towering saguaros are comforting features in a desolate and spare landscape — it always helps me to clear my mind and focus.

What’s your guiltiest pleasure?

I sometimes visit people.com for pop culture updates. I also devour my mom's old People mags that she passes to me when she's done.

Jennifer Wood

There’s no denying that Jennifer Wood’s degree in art history grounded her knowledge of color theory, but it was her time as a florist that taught her how to mix shapes and textures in a pleasing way. Those lessons are perfectly apparent in the way she combines feathers and ribbons, velvet and sequins, and shapes them into headpieces that don’t just elevate a look, but actually make it.

Drawing on history and design, Jennifer gathers inspiration and materials, and before she knows it a collection is born (with the help of her sharp fabric scissors, of course!). From art historian to florist to maker, she’s had quite a colorful journey.
