Rachel Shingleton
Imagine the world without color — that’s a world Rachel Shingleton wants no part of. It was her passion for palettes that lead her to study visual communications (both in Oklahoma and Paris, France) and launch her colorful line of home accents and gadget accessories. But it’s this dynamic designer’s love for life that truly drives her forward.
After marrying her childhood sweetheart (they met in the first grade!), Rachel was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and had a number of serious surgeries. Finding strength she never knew she had, Rachel feels like she’s been given a fresh start — one that is obviously, full of color.
"My design process is mostly based around a gut instinct....there are just certain things that ring a bell with me, and so I go with it."
"If I wasn't doing this, I'd be designing or creating something else — as I've gotten older, it's becoming more and more apparent to me that it really is vital to my well-being."
