Beth Mueller
If we ever needed proof of the power of childhood memories, Beth Mueller could tell us a thing or two. From studying the colorful patterns on her grandmother’s quilt during naptime to watching a film about a potter and thinking, “That’s what I want to be,” Beth’s creative streak was sparked at a young age.
Fast-forward to adulthood, with an art degree and a two-year pottery apprenticeship tucked under her belt, Beth slowly began to build her own studio, picking up second-hand equipment and holding down two part-time jobs to make ends meet. Her hard work paid off, but more importantly Beth’s artwork retains that feeling of youthful wonder.
"I love objects that show the mark of the maker. I think they make our world a better place."
"Sometimes I sit on an idea for years. Other times, it flows immediately and works the first time."
"I studied art in college. I also worked in a printmaking studio in Florence, Italy, and apprenticed to a potter for two years. Since then, I devour design books."
