Sarah Pinto
Inspiration can spring up from the most unlikely — and often unwelcome — places. Sarah Pinto’s seven-year-old son Charlie was born with a heart defect and has already had three open-heart surgeries in his young life.
Thanks to the care given to him at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, Charlie is leading a normal healthy life, and in gratitude Sarah Pinto donates a portion of all her sales to their Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery. Motivation to become a maker can come from anywhere and in the case of Sarah Pinto, hers resides directly in the heart.
"I was looking for a simple and stylish planner that I could throw in my purse. I couldn't find one, so I decided to design it myself."
"I don't have a background in design — I just love simple, bold colors and patterns."
"I love to go to flea markets...I once found a feed bag that my mother-in-law made into a pillow. I got two for $5 — those are things that I look for."
