In 2019, we worked with RioCan’s cross-functional Innovation Team to consult on retail innovation ideas for their retail properties. The Mainstreet pop up concept emerged as one of the initiatives to launch as part of this strategic & collaborative partnership.

Mainstreet is a branded pop up shop concept that brings entrepreneurial, local and artisanal brands not traditionally seen in an enclosed retail environment. Products include gourmet food, fashion and handmade goods; all of which were identified in the community-based consumer research conducted to identify what people most wanted to see in the shopping center.
